Found in the county of Bedfordshire, the small town of Leighton Buzzard stands close to the boundary between Beds and Bucks, beside the Grand Union Canal, it has a resident population of approximately thirty seven thousand and a historical past harping back to Roman times, at which time the early Watling St (now the A-5) passed by the town. These days Leighton Buzzard is pretty much joined to the nearby town of Linslade and it's about mid-way between Luton (Bedfordshire) and Milton Keynes (Bucks), it is placed near the Chilterns and boasts a significant sand quarrying industry.
