Situated in the county of Beds, the smallish town of Leighton Buzzard lays very near to the county boundary in between Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, on the Grand Union Canal, the town has a resident population of approximately 37,000 and a past stretching back to Roman days, at which time the early A5 (then known as Watling Street) passed the town.
