Set within the county of Beds, the small town of Leighton Buzzard lays close to the county border between Bucks and Beds, on the banks of the Grand Union Canal, the town has a resident population of around thirty seven thousand and a past harping back to the times of the Romans, at which time the historic A5 (then known as Watling St) passed by the town. Presently Leighton Buzzard is linked to the nearby town of Linslade and is approximately halfway between Luton and Milton Keynes, it stands near to the Chilterns (Chiltern Hills) and boasts an important sand quarrying industry.

Leighton Buzzard History: It is considered that there had been settlements in and near to what is now named Leighton Buzzard harping back to prehistoric times, old relics and coinage picked up nearby show proof of this.
