Found in the county of Bedfordshire, the town of Leighton Buzzard is near to the boundary between Bucks and Beds, on the banks of the Grand Union Canal, Leighton Buzzard has a population of around 37,000 and a history stretching back to the Roman period, when the historic A5 (then known as Watling Street) passed by the town. At present Leighton Buzzard is pretty much connected to the adjacent town of Linslade and it's about halfway between Luton and Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire), it lays next to the Chiltern Hills (Chilterns) and has a vital sand quarrying industry.
