Situated in the county of Bedfordshire, the small town of Leighton Buzzard lays near the boundary between Beds and Buckinghamshire, on the banks of the Grand Union Canal, it has a populace of approximately 37,000 and a history stretching back to the Roman era, when the early A5 (then known as Watling Street) passed the town. At present Leighton Buzzard is pretty much connected to the nearby town of Linslade it is approximately midway between Milton Keynes and Luton, it is found near to the Chiltern Hills and boasts a vital quarrying industry (sand).
